Tobi Clement

Pastel artist Tobi Clement lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico surrounded by extraordinary skies and expansive landscapes of the Southwest. For Tobi, "there is a soul-grabbing intensity and alluring mystery in the ever changing colors and quality of light in the skies of the New Mexico. I feel the tension between the light of day and the dark of night when the two come together during the brief encounter of twilight. I find it easier to capture the true essence of this mystical time through my art than my words". 

 

In her recent collection titled In-Between Time, Tobi attempts to capture the dynamic interlude between light of day and dark of night as if they were coming together in a mythical romance. Their passion, brilliantly displayed through the emotion of color splashed into an ever changing composition we call twilight. In a fleeting moment of time, a window opens into an in-between place where magic lives. Tobi says "if you pause, look up and breathe in the gift of this beauty you invite magic into your life".
