

Deborah Piasner
Deborah finds joy by being inspired to oil paint whimsical still life, plein air landscapes, and figurative works of people and animals. she enjoys that spark of inspiration which amuses and delights her to create. she challenges herself continually to reach the extent of her skills.

Most recently, she has received awards for plein air oil painting, which include: The Award of Distinction for "Josie's Abode" in June 2024 at the PAPNM "Paint NM" Juried Art Show; Third Place in the Large Painting Division for "Sunflowers at Dawn" in November 2023 at the Rio Grande Art Association Encantada 2023 show; and First Place for "Sunday Morning in Cerrillos" in the Drawing and Painting Division in October 2021 at the Old Church Show in Corrales.
She also won awards for her portraits, and her still life paintings have been accepted into additional juried art shows. Occasionally her oil paintings have been featured on covers such as "Haciendas" the 2011 Santa Fe Home Builders Association magazine. Deborah has been oil painting since 2000, after relocating with her family from California to Santa Fe, NM.
